Do Blacklist Prospects Count Towards Total?

Just wondering If I blacklist prospects if they count towards my total prospects? I cant seem to find any documentation on it.

Even if prospect is blacklisted, they will be counted towards total prospects in lead database. You can easily test using out of box smart list for blacklist and All leads.

The only time this appears is under the Schedule. Invalid, Unsubscribed, Suspended, and Blacklisted will be "blocked from emails".

Yes you have to pay for Blacklisted leads and unsubscribes. If you do not want to, then archive them out periodically.

I'm trying to clean up my leads but I dont want to delete them out of the system. I also want to keep their history within marketo just incase I ever need to bring them back. I can Archive the smart lists out but thats just archiving the folder, right? Not the actually lead?

Whats the best way to clean up leads without sacrificing prospect history?
