Distribute email alert to a list

Are you wanting to send an alert if a lead takes action in email? Like click link or visits web page..something that would be sent to your sales team to alert them that this was done?

Yes I wanted to send an alert to a GROUP of sales individuals on certain events.  I have a few triggers running with specific emails added. I wanted to, instead of entering emails one by one, just say send to this group of people (based on a smart list created). My other solution (managed outside of Marketo and not under my direct control): I was going to create an email distributionb groups like "Sales@... . " 

My goal was to work with a solution inside of Marketo. 

Purpose: Not having to add/remove idividual emails from alerts which could could be error prone.

These types of distribution lists are managed by your own internal IT department most likely. We have exactly what you're discussing, a sales address for each business unit salesfr@ salesnl@ salesuk@  and whenever someone needs to be added or removed they speak to IT.

But this is just a normal email address as far as Marketo is concerned. It think it's just like any other.

Hey Adam Thanks. I am  in the process of requesting business unit addresses. I am not in control of that so I wanted to know of there was a way I could just creat lists in marketo and not have to rely on someone else.
