Design Studio - Upload Image or File using IE8/IE9 on Windows 7

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Windows 7, and I've had issues since when trying to upload PDF files in Design Studio. The issue is that when I try to upload, the process hangs, and 9/10 times, it does not finish uploading (browser window becomes non-responsive and has to be closed). If it eventually does finish uploading, it has taken over 10 minutes to complete.

Using Windows XP, this process would take seconds to complete.

I've had IT trying to resolve the issue but no luck.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it a known issue?

Can someone confirm if this functionality in Marketo is optimised for Win 7 (IE8/IE9)

Prompt feedback would be a great help!
Thanks,

Good morning, Rashida!

I can indeed confirm that you should be able to use Windows 7 with IE8/9 to upload the images with no issue.  Have you tried the upload using another browser (Chrome or Firefox)?  Trying another browser will enable us to determine if the issue is browser specific (in this case, an issue with IE8/9) or if it is an issue with your connection or system.

Give Chrome or Firefox a shot and let me know what happens!

Have a great day,

Thanks Jesse,

I was using IE8 and Firefox on Windows XP last week and it was fine. I've requested Chrome to be installed on this Windows 7 so I will know if the issue is isolated to just this browser version or not tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks for your prompt feedback.

No problem, Rashida!  Windows 7 shouldn't be an issue (we actually use Windows 7 machines here in Support), so I am leaning towards it being an issue with either the install/configuration of IE8/9 on your Windows 7 computer or a connection issue (less likely, but still possible).  But once you have the other browser installed we'll be able to narrow down the potential source of the problem.

Have a great day and keep me informed!

Hi Jesse et al

I've just had Chrome installed today and great news - the issue of delay in uploading of image/files has gone! I see no delay whatsoever.

I've let my IT guys know, it's bound to be how IE8/9 is being configured on this machine.

Thanks for your support - Happy days ahead! :-)
