Question

Delay on Campaigns Synced from Salesforce

We've been encountering a problem recently when creating campaigns in SFDC.

We have a group that creates campaigns through a package in SFDC, and they have been using those campaigns to identify leads in Marketo and send them emails.

However, recently the campaigns they have been creating (and any others created in SFDC) have been taking over an hour to sync to Marketo. I've tried hiding unnecessary fields, but it's still taking way too long for active campaigns to sync back over.

Does anyone have any tips to speed this process up? Previosuly the sync was taking only a few minutes, so any help would be appreciated.

Neil, I would go to Marketing Activities > Campaign Queue and see what other activities are going on. It may be that you have a huge backlog that is causing the delay.

Thanks Rajesh,

Campaign Queue looks fairly clean, and the sync from SFDC doesn't show up in there because Marketo doesn't know it exists yet. Do you know of any tips/tricks in SalesForce to tweak the campaign object to speed this up? We already hid a bunch of fields from Marketo.

Neil, have you found any way to fix this issue?  I also have the same problem.

Hi Jeremy,

The biggest difference was made by deleting a bunch of records to try and get us below to our contracted amount. We were about 100k over. That made a huge difference.
