Date Tokens in Wait Steps - Passed Dates

We are using Marketo to automate internal communications for new hires using a landing page and forms to gather information about the person's start date in a field called Start Date (super creative). Once the form is filled out they are dropped into a nurture campaign that sends out standardized emails for the day the person starts, two weeks after the start date and 90 days later using the Start Date field as a Date Token in the wait steps of the flow.

My question is if I use a date token in a wait step and the date the person is entered into the flow is after the date of the token will the email go out automatically or will it get stuck and not receive that email?

Just had the same question and would love to know the answer.

Did a test and it looks like it will send immediately proces the next step if the wait step with the date token is zero or negative. This makes sense.

So it looks like your emails would go out automatically in the case above, although I would definitely test to be sure.
