Date ranges, reports and subscriptions...

Scenario:
  • I have created a report to measure leads by revenue stage.
  • The report is setup to report on any lead created during the last 3 months.
  • I setup a subscription for the report to run on the 1st of the month.
 
Issue:
  • When the report ran on April 1, I was expecting it to provide data on the January 1 – March 31 timeframe
  • However, the actual data reported was for February 1 – April 30 – the “1st of month” month was included in the date range, rather than the preceding 3 months.
 
Question(s):
  • Am I missing something in the subscription setup?
  • If not, can there be a “last day of the month” (and/or even “Last Day of Quarter”) option added to the reporting subscription setup?

Two solutions:
1) Enter the specific date range you want and update every quarter

2) Change report to "Last 90 days".  This may not fit your goals, BUT it will give you a better apples to apples comparison, and you can run it every week
