I created a custom field in Marketo called Nominee's Full Name which isn't mapped to SFDC.  So the question is, I want to create an alert that tells our internal staff that a particular contact filled out that nominee form field.  Right now, my only short-term work around is creating a smart list that has the name of the person who filled out the form and the nominee form field entry, and I have to export and send it to internal staff.  Any suggestions? I wish there was a way to pull that info as a token but I didn't see it.

Why wouldn't this work using Send Email or Send Alert with the list of internal staff?

Even custom fields should show up as tokens that can be referenced in Emails or Flows.

Fills Out Form IS "X" and Nominee IS NOT EMPTY, then Send Alert

{{Lead.First Name}} nominated {{xxxx.nominee}} please follow up.

Michelle, if you're using SFDC, you could use workflows there to trigger an email to any email field. I don't believe you can currently use email tokens in the Marketo send email flow.

We ran into a similar issue when creating our customer referral program and landed on the aforementioned workaround.

Josh, you're right. I misread the ask.

Michelle, you can use the method Josh described above. The nominee token can be called from the Lead record since you're populating it there: {{Lead.nomineeField}}

    Michelle as the boys have already stated, any field can be added to Marketo. Then you just need to make it a token by wrapping it in {{lead. XX }} So if your field is named Nominee Full Name, then the token would be {{lead.Nominee Full Name}} That you can then add to an email, which you send as an alert when someone fills out this form.

      Thanks guys!  I was able to add it in the flow, but on the alert email itself, I'm not seeing it as an item I can select from the token pick list.  Strange but I'm only seeing 4 token items in email and 2 when in Design studio email (I'll check with support). I'll try to just add {{lead.nominee_fullname}} and test to see if that'll work.   Again, many thanks.

      Update: there's something wrong with my tokens.  I added the lead.nominee token by typing it in my emails, which isn't visible in the tokens pick list and when I approved and tested the email, what I added was stripped.  :(
