Countdown Timers in Emails

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to place countdown timers in the body of the emails? I haven't found a good out of the box solution.

Ideally it would be used for promotions and events.

Have you thought about using a GIF? There's plenty of tools out there that can create what you're looking for. Try this one: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/create

Thanks for the reply. I have tried a few of them, however many of them will include an advertisement at the bottom or will not format correctly.

As Adam mentioned, a GIF would work for this use case.

Have you seen this vendor? I do not have any experience with them. Just came across while looking into this topic.
