Count clickers like openers if images aren’t diplayed

Currently if someone opens an email without allowing the display of images, he can't be recordable like opener

And if he clicks on the email, he is recorded like clickers but not like opener

So the idea would be to count clickers like openers if images aren’t diplayed, because it's impossible to click an email without opening it.

The problem with this is that if you use Opens to determine how many people viewed the email with images (i.e. in the ideal form) you will no longer know the difference in engagement.  There really needs to be a new category (Downloaded Images).

B that's the problem, isn't it?  How can Marketo distinguish between these 2 cases:  Someone never opens the email, vs. Someone opened it but never clicked "download images" if they're using a mail client that blocks images by default, like Outlook.

Ok but it's impossible to click a link without open the email. So if someone clicks on the email, you don't agree with the idea that you can record him like opener too?

This functionality already exists. In the Email Performance Report, the Opens count will be incremented by one if a Click occurs and a corresponding Open hasn't yet been recorded. However, our Smart Lists operate strictly over the activity table. So, since an open didn't ever occur, that lead will not automatically appear here. Is is technically challenging to change that behavior.
