Could request timeout of Create/Update Leads by REST API be configured?

Hi all,

I notice that, in doc http://developers.marketo.com/documentation/rest/createupdate-leads/, there is description "The request timeout for this call is 60 secs".
Could it be configured specified in request?
For example, when sending HttpWebRequest with a longer timeout (100s) or a shorter timeout (30s), would the settings take effect?

Currently there is no way to specify a different timeout.
