Copy from HTML not working

When using the 2.0 editor, all HTML seems to be automatically copying to text as expected except for buttons. Neither the button text or the link will transfer to the text version whether Automatically Copy from HTML is checked or not. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something that needs to be added to the template code? Screenshots attached.
