Converting a list to Program Membership

Question

I must be missing something. How do you take a Smartlist that you've built for appropriate segmentation and add those contacts to the program's memebership? Exporting and importing is not efficient. For some programs, changing the status does not work either as the correct status doesn't exist. We have nice "Add to Engagement Program" functions but not to regular programs. I'm probably making this harder than it is, but am stumped on how to do it.

Anyone have advice? Thanks.

Hey Mike,Program membership is determined by having a status in a given program, so you will need to give an appropriate status to the leads in a given program. If an appropriate status doesn't exist, you can update the program channel or create a new one via the tags menu in your admin section, as detailed here:http://community.marketo.com/MarketoTutorial?id=kA250000000KypACAS

To add leads to regular programs and events you have to use te Change Program Status feature. You can do this in a smart campaign or as a single flow action. Hope this helps!
