Convert a Campaign to a Program

I think it's a great idea and we should absolutely do it.
I'm sorry it hasn't been done sooner.

What would be the recommended approach since it's not something we could do today. Should I be setting up a new program then cloning the assets into the new program, then when the program is set up de-activating the campaign and activating the campaign under the program?

We'd lose historical data at that point but then we'd have the opportunity to run the more sophisticated reports.

Might there be another workaround that you'd recommend?

Yes, that is one solution.  Not sure of another.

Good news though.  I just spoke with one of the engineers and may have some good news soon on this subject.

How soon might the good news come? Should I wait before re-building a number of our campaigns into programs and losing the historical data?

Ill know next week, but maybe in Sept release.  Maybe.  Don't hold me to that!  I didn't say anything.  You can't prove a thing. :)

Any updates on this? We set a deadline to have everything moved over to programs that needs to be converted by October 1st. Likely start the work next week if not sooner. Would be awesome if there were some way to drag existing smart campaigns over rather than having to recreate all the assets under the program.
