Contact Responsibility Overwrite

Hello,

We're looking at different contact responsibilities in our entire SFDC database.

We recently setup some smart lists/campaigns to change over some of our SFDC contacts's contact responsbility roles.

For some reason, their contact responsibility roles did not populate to our keywords, after running the campaign.

Example:

I created a smart list for 'Inside Sales' where

Job Title contains 'Inside'

My smart campaign flow is set to:

Change Data Value: Attibute: Contact Responsibility | New Value: Inside Sales.


If this was recently set to a certain value from the C.R. list, can Marketo overwrite it?

Yes, it should be able to. Marketo has the power to overwrite anything as long as the sync is correct and you have checked any boxes in the "Block Field Updates" for Contact Responsibility in the Field Management portion of the Admin section.

And remember to make sure that the profile that syncs between Salesforce & Marketo can see that field and make changes to it. If the Salesforce sync cannot make changes to that field, your changes won't update SFDC.

I know what the problem is.

I ran my 'Inside Sales' smart campaign before running our 'Sales' smart campaign, so when I ran the Sales smart campaign, all contact responsibilities were changed back to Sales.

I added Job Title not contains 'Inside' within my Sales smart campaign, but it does not seem to work still.
