Question

Clicks on Link Trigger Not Working

I have a campaign that is designed to send out an autoresponder email if a recipient clicks on a specific link in an email. I used the trigger for Clicks Link in Email, added the email name and added the constraint of the link. However, when activated the autoresponder does not get sent out.

The link is part of a CTA button. Any recommendations?

I want it to be specific to that link since there could be others on the page.

Can you show us a screenshot? How are you populating the link?

How are you testing this?

Does your email have multiple links? If not, you could leave it as "clicks link in email". Otherwise you might want to submit a support ticket regarding your muchkin code. I've had random kinks with 'clicks link' and sometimes support has recommendations. Sometimes you also just need to delete the https for the link if you have that enabled.

Are you using a token for the link?

Do you have the smart campaign set up so that the lead can only go through the flow once? That's the default for a Marketo smart campaign and has tripped me up more than once as I'm testing flow. ;-)

This was going to be my suggestion. There have been many times I've set up a similar campaign and forgot to change this
