checkboxes in columns?

You can drag and drop fields next to each other in the form editor to create columns.  See article here: Reorder Form Fields 

This would just be the long list of checkboxes in ONE field/question.
It's just one question and there are about 20 possible choices to check. I'd like the checkboxes to show in two columns of ten instead of one long column of 20.

example:

Please choose your favorite colors:

□ red                           □ blue
□ yellow                     □ pink
□ green                      □ purple
□ orange                    □ gold
□ black                       □ brown
□ white                      □ teal
□ grey                        □ purpinkle

Can you use a multi select or select instead?
