Charging a Fee for Registration

Has anybody ever had to charge a fee for registration? For example a $100 fee for members to register for the event. Can you do this through Marketo or do you have to use an outside source integrated with Marketo?

Any insight would be helpful!

Yes, I have done this.

You cannot accept payment via Marketo. I recommend using eventbrite or cvent to handle payments. What I did was redirect the registrant to a payment page (but you could send them directly to eventbrite). Then I'd have to go match payment against the list and update their Status from Registered - Unpaid to Registered - Paid.

I heard eventbrite isn't fully integrated with marketo though.

As Josh said, it is not directly possible via Marketo. You can use a Marketo partner to accomplish this. I would also recommend checking out Certain.
