Changing Lead Status Value Labels

If we change the name of the value for lead status will it update our current leads? For example, if we change the value from "Marketing Qualified" to "MQL-HOT" will Marketo automatically update leads currently identified as "Marketing Qualified" to "MQL-HOT"? We are updating our lead scoring and lead lifecycle's and want to make sure that if we change the names of these lead cycles that all current leads in the system are able to be converted to the new labeling.

Unfortunately no, Marketo doesn't automatically update the value to the new one. You will need to create a smart campaign to update the old values to the new values.
