Change Lead Source

We have a bunch of legacy Lead Source values that I'm trying to change over to our standard values, however when I run a "change data value" campaign, it doesn't make the change. Is there a special way I need to run this data value change?

Here are the details of the smart campaign:

  • Smart List: Lead Source Contains XYZ
  • Flow: Change Data Value
    • Attribute: Lead Source
    • Value: Research

Hi Rachel,

Are you blocking field updates to Lead Source? Maybe that is the cause, because your logic seems correct to me. Here's the product doc with more info:

Block Updates to a Field - Marketo Docs - Product Docs

If it is blocked, just uncheck the box for flow change data value and re-run your campaign. Then you can re-enable the block if you want.

Also, this field may be blocked in SFDC too - so check on that as well.

Update: just looked and it seems as though I had the field blocked from updates except from SFDC.

Thanks for the help!
