Cancel future email in flow step if flow has already run?

I have a send campaign that went out this morning. In it, there is a step that is wait until future date, then send email 2. So it was send email 1 tihs morning, wait to X date, send email 2.

If i want to cancel email 2, do I just delete it from the flow? Or does this not work since the was already scheduled and ran this morning?

if people are now in the wait step, you can remove Send Email 2 and when they exit the wait step, nothing will happen.
 

If you want to be super sure, run a Remove from Campaign once everyone is in the wait step.
