Can you stop records in Marketo from passing to Salesforce?

I see that there is a way to keep records of a certain type that are in Salesforce from synching and passing to Marketo. Is there a way to do the reverse? We have certain list in Marketo that we would like to universally keep out of Salesforce. Currently I just add them to lists and then make sure all of our campaigns that sync leads exclude members of these lists, but it's cumbersome and we're worried that leads will slip through.

Well, we only sync leads to SFDC if a campaign does it. So this is mostly a matter of setting up those campaigns to be smart. If you can unify those campaigns so there is only one, one option is to have a field on the lead like "don't sync" you can set, or other flags to prevent those folks from flowing through.

Thanks, that's essentially what we're doing, but across 3 campaigns instead of 1. Hadn't thought of creating a field instead of adding them to a list though - seems obvious. Thanks!
