Can you put Marketo LP's on an existing domain prefix (CNAME)?

Hi everyone,

My company has a website: www.company.com, our Marketo landing pages are hosted on pages.company.com.  We have a department within our company that uses training.company.com for its purposes, and they would now like to start hosting Marketo landing pages too.

Can I add training.company.com as a new CNAME using this process: Add Additional Landing Page CNAMEs - Marketo Docs - Product Docs or do new Marketo CNAMEs need to have a new, "fresh" domain?  And if it is possible for them to use the existing training.company.com domain, will there be a choice to use that URL (instead of pages.company.com) when creating new landing pages?

Thanks,

Julius, there isn't really such a thing as a fresh subdomain. As long as you can point the name to Marketo, it's fine.

CNAMEs in Marketo are, however, aliases (as they are in DNS). So if you have a page me.example.com/lp1.html, that'll also be available at you.example.com/lp1.html, and vice versa. There isn't any ownership of an LP by one of your aliases; it's essentially co-owned by all of them.
