Can you pull a smart list based on program tags?

I have found many articles on program tags and didn't know if you could pull smart lists based on these tags? And are the program tags only specific to programs or if someone registers for a webcast that has tags, do those tags become lead attributes that will forever stay with the lead?

You cannot pull smart lists using program tags.  Tags are on the program and do not currently become attributes of the lead.

Unfortunately, using program tags in filters is not possible.  There was an idea created today about allowing Marketo users to leverage program tags and channels for smart lists and reporting.

You can find everyone with a certain tag based off of what program they're a part of. 

You can take a look at your Program Performance Report (or make a new one) > go to Setup > drag over your tags that you want to filter by. 

This will show you all programs that are using that tag along with all the leads that are associated by that tag. While not ideal At least you have access to what leads have what tag. And you can export that list and use it for whatever. You could even export it. Create a custom field that says "tag" and put in the value as needed then just update the leads in your database. While it is kind of manual you can still setup campaigned based off of tag :) Even if it is a static list.
