Hello,

I am trying to find a way to pre-populate copy for a social button in an email not a landing page. Is this possible?

I have managed to create a social button however these seem to only be for use on a landing page.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Natalie,

Unfortunately the social buttons you refer to only work on landing pages - there is no social button functionality out-of-the-box for emails.

You can create custom buttons for emails, but they would have to be custom coded.

There are a couple of great tips on what to do in this post: Re: Social Share Buttons in Emails?

Many of the social networking platforms allow you to do this with custom HTML. For example, you could but a button/link/image on your email that says "tweet to us!" and then use the documentation from twitter (see the bottom "Web Intent Example")

If you were to use that method, you could insert a link for the user to tweet something.
