Can you add snippets directly to an email template?

Question

We have identified two key segments for our audience. For one of these segments, we would like to display a custom footer on every email message. This seems like an ideal use case for snippets: one segment gets the standard footer, and the other gets the custom footer.

Is there a way to "hard-code" the footer snippet into an email template? In other words, can I add a code to the template to define "footer snippet goes here" just like I would define an editable section or insert a token?

Right now, it appears the only solution is to create an editable section and then manually set that section to use a snippet with each send.

Hi Nathaniel,Not in the template. If you've done it once you can clone the email and the snippet will be in there automatically.Also, you could put the default code into the editable section and then replace it by the (dynamic) snippet for each email. This way there would always be some type of code.

Depending on what you want added you could add a token into email templates.

Make the default token for your standard sends. Then inside a separate folder in your Marketing Activities section edit the token for your more custom sends. The templates will remain the same and you'll just have to update the tokens at the folder level. Just an idea.
