CAN SPAM rules for SI email templates

When sending out an email through Marketo's Sales Insight...is it ok to make it an operational email? Or is that not kosher with CAN SPAM laws?

Hi Sara, are you just trying to avoid having the unsubscribe link show up at the bottom of the email? If your sales reps are using an MSI template with the Outlook plug-in, the unsubscribe is automatically removed as that is truly a 1-to-1 email.

We're using the gmail plugin...what's in MSI template?

It would make sense that when they're sending multiple emails (like through SI in Salesforce) that it allows people to unsubscribe. But you're saying when it's a 1:1 the "unsubscribe" link goes away?

MSI is Marketo Sales Insight, just another acronymn to remember :)

I haven't tested in the Gmail plug-in but I would think it operates in a similar fashion and removes the unsubscribe for those templated or untemplated emails that are sent with the "Send and Track" Marketo button. Are you able to test that out or have a rep send you an email?
