Can multiple lead records have activty logged from a single cookie?

In another discussion item (Same Cookie Id, Different Email Address), I understand from Jep that the same cookie ID can be associated with two or more lead records.  If two lead records are associated with a Cookie ID does that mean that web page visits with that cookie ID will be added to the Activity Log of both lead records?

Elliott, it's the other way around: a single lead can have 0 or more Cookie IDs associated with it, but a single Cookie ID can only be linked to 1 Lead record.

Hi Elliott,

I would imagine both leads would have the same visit webpage etc. in their activity log. It should be one that we can test but I'm ashamed to say that I have yet to set up my test website with munchkin etc.

Fill out a form with leadA@test.com, a new lead will be created and cookied.
Browse a few pages in the same browser and fill out another form but this time Leadb@test.com. A second lead should be created.

Browse a few more tracked pages and check the history logs on both.

Cathal

So in the case where a computer is being shared, a form is submitted by the first user and a cookie is created, then the second user submits a form with a different email address, the cookie ID will be changed from the first user's lead record to the second user's lead record?  And the first user's lead record will have 0 cookie ID's associated with it?
