Question

Can I use wait steps to send emails at different times in a single smart campaign?

Would this work to sends a single email at different times to different segments on the same day? Is it better/worse than 3 different smart campaigns that are scheduled separately?

If lead is in East Time Segment, send email at scheduled time.

Wait 1 hour.

If lead is in Central Time Segment, send email.

Wait 2 hours.

If lead is in Pacific Time Segment, send email.

Hi Lisa,

Yes, this should work, but be sure to include a logic in the choice steps that will exclude anyone who already received the email (just a good precaution to take).  We do something very similar to what you described.  Our batch campaign for the email has the following flow steps:

If Email Flight = A,  Send Email EXAMPLE.
All else, do nothing.

Wait 3 hours

If Was Sent Email EXAMPLE, do nothing.
If Email Flight = B, Send Email EXAMPLE
All else, do nothing.

etc.

Hi

I would make it as one campaign with steps in it :)

Yes, this is a great way to reduce the number of smart campaigns you have.
