can a custom Salseforce user field at contact or lead object be used for assigning task or sending email alert through smart actions?

Generally not. We only sync a few specific fields like the sales owner name and email address. What exactly did you want to do?

Hi Erik, We have a dedicated inside sales rep for every field sales reps. So when ever we receive response for an campaign, we used to assign a task and send email alerts to the sales reps. Now we would like to include inside sales reps also while sending the email alert  and assign the task to inside sales rep directly instead of the lead or contact owner.

In the flow items, i could see only lead or account owner as option for alerts and lead owner for task. how i can include inside sales reps for the alerts and tasks - inside sales reps are lookup fields to user object in salesforce.

I don't think there is a way to do this now, but I could be missing something. Maybe someone else has a clever idea they can post here!
