Can I import a list of leads to marketo without it updating SalesForce?

I would like to utilize Marketo to test a new lead list without it updating SFDC data. Is this possible?

It depends on how your sync is set up and your lead routing rules. Are you routing leads using Marketo or Salesforce? Is it ALL data that you want to block or a particular subset?

Also, are you syncing all programs to SFDC campaigns?

And do you think the leads on the list are also in the system already?

From my experience, if you wanted to upload the list against a program in Marketo but not sync them to Salesforce make sure the Marketo program isn't syncing to a SFDC campaign. The other option is to create a new list in the lead database and upload it in there.
