Do campaigns in the archive folder automatically shut off or do I need to deactivate them?

Hi Casey,

Archived assets, including campaigns, will not deactive when they are moved into an archive folder. They will stay on and continue to process leads if you put them in an archive folder.

If a triggered campaign isn't used for about 6 months, Marketo will automatically deactivate it for you, but until that happens people can flow through if they meet the right criteria as Val said.

Dory,

Does Marketo deactivate them only if they have been archived for 6 months without any activity?  I have programs still activated from earlier this year that are not archived, and they are still active.  I'm sure it's a dumb question, but just want clarification so I feel better about it.

Thanks!

Hi Bobby, whether the program is archived or not doesn't matter for the "deactivations" that Marketo does every so often. If a program is still activated, not archived, and in use then it won't be impacted. If it's activated, not archived, and hasn't been triggered in 6 months then it will be deactivated.

Hope this helps :)
