Bug? Image Highlighting in Email Editor Not Working

Images in the email editor window are no longer highlighted when clicked on. I can highlight them by dragging my cursor over them, but none of existing link/image attributes show up (screenshot below). This adds extra work as I now have to go into the HTML to make changes to image attributes and links.

This only seems to be affecting images, not text. Has any one else seen this happen in their email editor recently?

Filed a support ticket, turns out it's a compatibility issue with Google Chrome v48 and the WYSIWYG editor. Tried Firefox and the image highlightling works fine with no issues.
