Hi guys,

This may have a really obvious answer, but I just wanted to double check.

The last Marketo release notification stated that they will no longer support IE7 and IE8. My guess is that this relates to using Marketo. But does it also relate to recipients of Marketo built emails? For example, if one of my members receives an email that I've blasted from Marketo, and they use IE8, there will be no affect on viewing the email online?

It is indeed related to using Marketo.

It "should not" impact recipients, but it certainly does regarding landing pages.

Our landing pages render OK in Chrome, Firefox and IE11 but don't display properly in IE8.

Specifically:
  • images embedded with the 'image widget' have to be deleted and replaced with an HTML widget containing a simple <img scr="> tag
  • Some standalone text boxes don't render at all
  • Forms drift around on the page, overwriting text boxes
It's all very well saying "we don't support IE8" but at least 8% of users in Europe (including the multinational corporation that I work for) still use it according to  http://theie8countdown.com/
