Bonus Structure for Marketing Manager Using Marketo

Good Afternoon,

This is the first time our company will be using a marketing automation software like Marketo. I am looking for some ways to pay out bonuses based on the sucess of Marketo. If anyone receives bonuses or pays bonuses based on certain KPI's or hitting certain milestones with Marketo, could you please share?

The best way do this would be to look at success/conversion in a program as it relates to contacts with a role on an opportunity that was created after the program was launched...In order to do this best you will need to link you Marketo programs with Salesforce Campaigns. From there the out-of-box reporting in Salesforce should allow you to report on Marketing's impact on Pipeline and Oportunity influence...The key here is to also use the Sales Insight oportunity influence report on the oportunity to look if any leads/contact from the company with the oportunity NOT attached to the oportunity have become engaged due to Marketo campaigns...Marketing deserves credit here as these folks were likely internal champions.
