Wondering if there is a benefit to creating a new smart campaign vs. reusing an old campaing that's exactly the same, the only thing changing is the email being sent, but the smart lists and the flows are the same each time..

We do both depending on our goals. If it's a lead gen email, we use programs so that we can measure the outcome of each send. In which case, the entire program (including the smart campaign) is cloned.

But for client communications we will re-use the smart campaign to cut down on the smart campaign clutter. However, I do clone them and start fresh once a year so that one smart campaign doesn't get too full of data. That could eventually slow you down.

Hi Karly,

You are doing exactly what we do.  For example, for our email camapigns, we simply clone the last program that we used and update the smart list and flow for the new email.  We have not encountered any issues by doing this.

Would look into cloning it (and possibly it's program, depending on the larger goals) instead of reusing it. If you're looking for one report showing multiple emails, you can create that with an Email Performance Report in Analytics.
