Batch campaign too big for Birthday message

Hi all,

we are facing problems with our Bday email.

I created it like this (/blogs/marketowhisperer/2016/04/23/sending-a-birthday-message ), with batch campaign and trigger.

Problem is: the batch campaign, that just says "Date of Birth is not empty", qualifies a huge amount of people and runs for more than a day now. With loading times like this, the email would go out too late.

What can I do about this?

While I don't like the Wait method for birthdays (at all) this shouldn't be a primary concern. You can break up the initial batch into chunks of your db, and while that may mean you miss some folks when you kick off the campaign for the very first time, you won't miss them after they're in the process.
