Audit Trail (Vote on this Idea, not it's dupes)

I think it would be good to have time stamp or properties info for each element on Marketo.

For example, for each Smart List or List under Lead Database, it should have info about who created the list, when created, last updated, last updated by etc.

This will give very good transparency for multiple users.

This will definitely help!

Don't worry ... we are very aware of this feature and it is on our radar. We don't have a target timeframe just yet.

Double-like plus-plus :)
In past, I had to bother support with inquiries on who last modified/scheduled something. Most recent occurrence: today.
So implementing this as a self-service would also allow Marketo's support team to focus on more complex tasks.

This is a sorely needed feature for landing pages. It's crazy Marketo doesn't already support this for orgs with many Marketo users and no version control or change history

This is a huge need of ours with over 100 users in our Marketo instance - please vote for this idea!

Would LOVE to see this. A whole account history is crucial, not only for programs or list changes but also for admin changes (e.g. new users added, account settings changed, etc.).

An audit trail like this is crucial for our business.

Excellent idea. Emails and landing pages should have a time stamped, version control log -- especially for assets delivered to the customer.

Having the audit trail as training for new users is crucial, and it can also be useful for legal situations. We would like to see asset version control so we can retrieve customer-received notices on certain dates. If we can't tell who changes what when, then how do we know a customer received a certain version of an email or saw a certain version of a landing page?

+1 and +1 again for this idea.

Great idea, it would be easy for a user to see what you changed and when. And be able to set it back (in case you changed some thing wrongly).

@ Marketo engineers: The oldest posting of a similar idea was first posted in November 2010 - 3 1/2 years ago. And we see 18 ideas merged into this one. Does it really take that long to implement a frequently requested and desperately awaited feature which Marketo even flags as "We like it!"?
We are not even requesting full undo-capabilities, just a change log would already help no end.
I'd love to learn more about the priorization of community ideas within Marketo.

Could the audit trail feature work similarily to the RCA module - essentially snapshot each days' worth of data and add to the data warehouse that then we could access?  Realistically, if you need an audit trail, you need the data (not the pretty UX) and maybe the pretty UX only keeps the past hour/hours worth of data fresh for review.  Adding to the idea, it would be great if the audit could highlight (quickly) by creation or edit something (asset) that the person (user) did.  Very valuable for tracking down for employee terminations situations or understanding volumes of things to check on.

Dear Marketo team,
including audit trail on Marketo side, to be able to see who made a change and when is of high importance to us for due to the data security and internal audit. Due to the sync we have with our CRM, updates done on Marketo side are currently going to our CRM only from the single Marketo Lead Management Power User, which causes difficulties on both sides, identifying who is the actual user who has done the update.
Many thanks!
