Assistance Mapping a Marketo Field to a Lookup Field in SFDC

Hello Community,

We have created a custom lookup field in SFDC, which has then properly copied to Marketo (is a string type field).  Currently, data is capturing in Marketo, but not passing to the SFDC field. 

Does anyone know how to pass data from a Marketo string field to a SFDC lookup field?

When you have a SFDC lookup field, you have to provide the SFDC ID as the value, rather than the value displayed in SFDC.  You can create a formula field in Marketo that maps these SFDC IDs to friendly values.
