Hello,

The Marketo-Salesforce sync uses Salesforce API calls. You can find your current usage and total Salesforce API calls allowed per 24-hour period under Setup > Company Information > "API Requests, Last 24 Hours". Keep in mind this is shared across any integrations that use the Salesforce API, not just Marketo.

As for bandwidth/volume limits of the sync, please refer to the community post "Marketo / Salesforce Sync Limits & Priority Info".

  • The native Marketo - SFDC integration doesn’t consume available API calls from your daily quota/limits for pushing updates b/w systems. So you’re good on that front. Additionally, to give you context, both systems are synced every 5 minutes where any new records in SFDC that the Marketo sync user can see are created in Marketo and updates on the synced records across all objects (standard and custom) are synced. Person and Company sync bi-directionally, whereas Account and Opportunity sync uni-directionally from  SFDC to Marketo.

  • For the end users, no limits are exposed, but Of course, the integration would internally have limits enforced to not make too many internal API calls b/w platforms and ensure that it doesn’t overwhelm the system. Notably, when you have large volumes of sync, it can cause Sync backlogs. There's a priority order in which the updates are synced b/w platforms.
