Appending leads in static lists

I am working with some older static lists. One field that we need for a new email campaign, 'Product Requested', is not currently listed in these static lists. Is there an easy way to append all the leads in the static list with the product they requested?

I thought I could re-import the leads into the static list with the field 'Product Requested' filled in, but would that create duplicates in my list? Thanks for any help or insight into this issue!

You can reimport the leads in your static list into Marketo without creating duplicates.  Just include the email address and Product Requested fields only in the list you import to ensure that you don't change a recently updated field with an older value.

As what Elliot said, I just want to further the point. You don't have to "work on old lists"  but rather, produce a smart list & say, Product request = Empty. Export it, put in the products requested, then reimport only those 2 fields.
