Anyone with experience with migrating to a new Salesforce instance?

Our company is looking to merge our instance of Salesforce with another instance, which means we will need to move Marketo to that instance.  I am curious if anyone has done this, what recomendations you have, and how you managed costs as you did so?

If you are using Marketo’s native Salesforce integration, remember that it can only connect to a single SFDC instance. Once connected it cannot connect to another instance. Depending on what is connected to the two SFDC Instances, you may consider advocating for use your current SFDC (Marketo Connected) instance as the "Merge To" instance to avoid disruptions.

 

Regardless, consult your Marketo rep early to explore your options. This could range from spinning up a new Marketo instance (which may incur costs) to possibly exploring custom integration solutions. Planning ahead will help manage potential costs and technical headaches.
