Anyone have experience with password creation and validation on marketo forms?

We are looking to use Marketo so that users can create a password and validate that password, using two fields on a Marketo form. 

Has anyone used javascript or anything for password fields like this and enabling validation to make sure the fields match?

Is there any other way to avoid capturing and storing password data in Marketo other than immedietly changing the fields to NULL in smart campaigns?

I realize that we will need to get SSL certificate to get our Marketo landing pages secure. Anything else  we should know?
