Anyone able to create an email response index?

Ideally, we would count the number of opens or clicks per email and divide by the number of emails delivered. I can create a score for each email delivered and increment by 1, but how can we create a score for email opens/clicks that is a max of 1 per each unique email? Perhaps this can be done outside of Marketo and imported back in.
