Anonymous Leads in Marketo

In marketo how are anonymous leads kept unique if there is no email being a unique identifier ?

Does it mean IP address lookup is unique ?

Or will there be multiple records in anonymous sitting in marketo as duplicates?

Has anyone one stumbled upon these questions ..any answers ....

The Cookie ID is unique.

The same lead can be tracked as anonymous when using multiple devices and/or browsers. Marketo keeps tracking each one and triggering events normally.

When one lead is convreted through a form fill out or tracked link, the other leads will remain anonymous until they are converted too. They will merge if they provide the same email address used for the first, otherwise they will be treated as new one.
