Analytics by Type of Recipient

I saw an old post on this, and it seemed like the system couldn't handle it.  I'm curious if anything has changed.

I want to see the metrics of a given email campaign by the different lists we sent to.  It's one thing to get the overall picture in the report that exists in the Analytics area, but I want to see how our prospects are doing compared to our buyers, who are already very engaged with us.

You can use the Smart List section of the report to constrain the data displayed. So just add a smart list to say "Prospects", then have another report say "Buyers"

It can't show you the data side by side though. You can export to xls and do that there.

You can create a Segmentation to subset your audiences. Perhaps key prospects, wider 'crap', new customers, long-term customers. Then you can add that Segmentation to many reports & filter the results automatically.

Thank you.  Yes, I've seen both of these answers before.  These are not going to work for us; we frequently email to smaller subsets of the whole database, so segmentations don't work.  As for running the constraint, that seems so onerous when I want to run a weekly report; setting it up separately each time seems silly.

I'm surprised at how such a basic feature of most email clients is not present in Marketo.
