Advanced BI Reporting - Program Tags

Tags are in Program Attributes. 

In Admin, are there any Tags defined other than Channel?

In Marketo Engage, tags do not just need to exist in Admin — they also need to be configured for the right program types and consistently populated on programs to be useful in Advanced BI Analytics. If a tag is blank, inconsistently used, or not relevant to the program types in your report, it may not show up the way you expect.

A quick way to validate it is:

• make sure the tag exists
• make sure it applies to the program types you're reporting on
• make sure it is actually populated on programs
• make sure the values are consistent
• test it with a few known programs where that tag is already filled in

In practice, the biggest issue is usually that the tag is optional and not consistently populated, so it won't behave reliably in reporting.

If the tag is important for reporting, it's usually best to:

• make it required
• include a fallback like Not Applicable
• keep the tag values standardized

So the short answer is: all tags are not automatically useful just because they exist in Admin — they need to be configured and consistently used on programs.
