Adding functionality to the Clear Button

I have a Script running, that populates a field in a form. When the clear button is pressed, that field does not clear, and the value remains.

Can this be done?

I could respond to your question, but I have a question for you instead :-)

Do you have a reason to use the Clear button? The use of a clear button is usually not recommended because a user could accidentally click it and erase their input, creating frustration/friction and increasing chances of abandonment. I seriously question why Marketo even includes it, let alone makes it the default option.
