I think that there should be an unsubscribe link option for the top of your emails. I suggest it be right next to or under the "view this email as a webpage" link.

According to email deliverability best practices, it is ideal for unsubscribtion links to be included at both the top and bottom of emails.

You can do this yourself right now. Just remove the unsubscribe text from the admin section of your Marketo instance and then add it to your email templates in both spots. This is how you can customize unsubscribe footers between different email templates.

Thanks Matt. This is a good suggestion, but not the solution I was looking for.

I'm looking more for a feature, for example, where it could be a checkbox in the "edit settings" funtion or a setting under the email option in the Admin panel.

It really isn't that hard to code where the unsubscribe linke appears in your email templates.  It would be very similar to this article that describes how to add code for the "forward to a friend" feature: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000L8IBCA0

Thanks for your post Jessica, this is a great way to solve the problem. But, as I stated above, I'm suggesting a user-friendly version where it's added as a feature into Marketo rather than having to go and mess with multiple email templates.

It seems as though the technical aspect of your question, Jennifier, has been addressed (placement of a secondary unsubscribe link in the header of your email). However, I would highly reconsider your efforts to place a second unsubscribe link above the fold (preview area within an email client). Reasoning: email deliverability will not be impacted because of a second opt-out link; instead you are simply providing a faster means for your target audience to unsubscribe from your email. Just a consideration - best of luck!
