Activity Log Field update - detail copying text from previous activity

We are wanting to record in the lead records the flow to change invalid emails from true to false. I have built the flow as directed and want to record the following text in the new value:

"Set back to valid email. Email address corrected on system {{system.datetime}}"

However once the flow is run the text above is showing after text from previous log e.g.

"Changed Email Invalid Cause from "550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try 550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or 550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. Learn more at 550 5.1.1  support.google.com/mail/?p=NoSuchUser 184si2" to "Set back to valid email. Email address corrected on system 2017-05-08 14:20:21""

How do we overcome this?

Many thanks

Mel

That looks like an accurate accounting of the old and new values. What do you mean by "overcome"?

Thanks for the reply.

By overcome I mean, what's the solution to not include all the previous chain of text so when looking in the activity log you can easily see the 'Email Invalid Cause'.

Given there is a field for 'Email Invalid Cause' that relates directly to the 'Email Invalid' field is there no way to only show the 'new value' i.e. "Set back to valid email. Email address corrected on system {{system.datetime}}".

That's just not the way the Activity Log works. On a changed value, you see the old and new states. I can see how in the case of this particular field it gets wordy, but it's typically what you want.

As I said, if all you want is a single block of text, you can set an IM (that doesn't have an "old" and "new" variant, just the text).
