Acquisition date not written via form embed?

Hi - is this expected behaviour?

If a lead fills out a form that is embedded on a non-Marketo page:

<script src="//app-sn01.marketo.com/js/forms2/js/forms2.min.js"></script>

<form id="mktoForm_1173"></form>

<script>MktoForms2.loadForm("//app-sn01.marketo.com", "XXX-XXX-XXX", 1173);</script>

The acquisition date does not appear to be captured? Correct? Is there a work-around?

Hi Nicholas,

No acquisition credit would be automatically given for a Marketo form on a non Marketo page.  You'd still get the Lead Is Created date for that record, but Acquired By and the Acquisition Date don't get filled.

Thanks John.

I assume this is a cookie technical limitation.. in which case a hidden field of {{system.dateTime}} probably won't work either?

Could I write the {{system.dateTime}} as a 'Change Data Type' step in a 'Fills out form' flow?

You must do this at the program level with a campaign and change data value.
